What we've been up to...

On Sept. 19, we went to the wedding reception of two of Bobby's really good friends (and me! :), Bonnie and Adam. It was a fun reception, with yummy ice cream, and lots of Bobby's old friends from Jr. High- that's right! JR. HIGH! I love how everyone in Davis County stays around the area, and makes it possible to get together with old friends often! So much fun!

On Sept. 20-25, we headed to St. George for a nice relaxing mini vay cay! :) We went down on Saturday, had a BBQ at my Aunt and Uncle's home, then went to the Dixie Round-up Rodeo, which we do every year with my family. It's always a lot of fun! We get the best seats and the kids love it! Brody points at everything and makes his "O" face. It's so much fun watching his reactions.

My sweet Grandma had us over for dinner on Sunday and we got to take a ride in her nice little golf cart. Brody loved it! Thanks again, Grandma!

Monday, we wanted to do something fun, so we grabbed some lunch, and headed to Jumping Jacks. It was a BLAST! Brody was a little scared at first, because of the huge blown up slides and monsters, but he got use to it quick and was having a great time.

Tuesday, Bobby got up early to go golfing, and when he got home we went to the pool. It was soooo hot in S.G. but, it was a nice relaxing weekend. After dinner on Tuesday, we went to the Brigham young home and took Brody's 18 month pictures. He doesn't exactly cooperate very well, but we got some cute ones! He was more interested in running around! Typical!

We did a little shopping, bought Brody's Halloween costume, and just hung out. Wednesday, we got packed, grabbed an in-and-out burger and headed home.

On our way home, we stopped at Bobby's sisters house, (Kris) and went to watch our niece and nephew play a soccer game. great job Jake and Emma!

Good-bye Civ-dog! And, Happy Birthday to ME!

Dear "Civ-Dog",

Thanks for being so special to us! Sorry we had to sell you, but you were causing too many problems for us. Bobby didn't like forking out so much money to get you in better shape. But, the nice man who bought you will be taking good care of you, I'm sure! He works on cars- you will be very grateful for him. He will be giving you a new paint job, a new muffler, and fixing your driver's side window. I don't think he'll be rocking out to music like we use to, but you're probably getting too old for that anyway. 11 years old is almost "over-the-hill"- WOW! 260,000 miles is DEFINITELY "over-the-hill". But, you never failed us! You drove 4 men to and from work every day for a week straight every month. You made memories for me and Bobby to keep for a lifetime! Thanks for letting him drive me on our first date- and for letting me write "I heart you" in your sun roof's cold frost, for helping us fall in love, and be able to drive you away the night we got married. You've been a good car, but it's time to say good-bye! We won't be missing you, but will always keep the memories!

Much LOVE,

Your previous owners,
Bobby and Erica

I turned 23 on Sept. 7! It was on a Sunday this year, so we went to dinner on Saturday at Tepanyaki (sp?) we sat by a group of Junior high kids who were very entertaining and they heard it was my birthday, and decided to have the waitress sing "Happy birthday" to me. How nice! :) Afterwards, we went to Bobby's parents home for cake and ice cream. Sunday, I opened presents and then we went to Church. Afterwards, we went to my Parents home for dinner, and cake and ice cream. It was a fun day! Thanks everyone for helping me celebrate!! And THANK YOU MOM, for having me!! I love you!

"Lud-ju"

OH! HAPPY! DAY! Brody can say "Love you" - in his own words, of course! Yesterday, I was getting ready and Brody was opening and closing the closet door to entertain himself! My Bathroom and closet doors are right across from each other, so I was able to watch Brody in my mirror and do my hair/makeup at the same time... I know, shocking that I was able to do more than one thing at a time, but I'll tell you- that's what being a mom does to you! (So glad I've FINALLY learned to multi-task after all these years! 22 to be exact... until tomorrow- my birthday- kinda sad to be 23 :( JK) Anyway, as I would watch Brody open and close my closet door (he was inside the closet) I would say, "Bye bye. Love you!" and after a few times, he started to copy me, until he was saying it on his own! He would open the door, peek out, and then say "bye bye lud-ju!" as he closed the door. I just love my sweet baby boy! He's talking up a storm and always entertaining us! Some of his new words include:

(At 18 months)

-thank you (dant du)
- what's that? (What dat)
-Toy Story (Doy dory) (New favorite movie- he Loved Nemo for the past 3 months, though!)
-Nemo
-Buzz
-Dory
-Drink
-none
-oh no! (especially when Daddy says he's going to get him!)
-bad bad (when something hurts him, he points and calls it bad)
-Nana (My mom)

Brody also LOVES cars, bikes, balloons, doggy's, kitty's, and STILL... vacuums! (And of course, Mommy and Daddy!)
