April 2010- Brody's First T-ball game

Brody had a blast playing T-ball this spring! He was on the Diamond backs. He had 6 games (or so?) the weather wasn't the best in April/May so about half of his games were either canceled or very cold. It was still a lot of fun watching him play!
He had a hard time getting the hang of the game at first- whenever another player on his team got ahold of the ball in the outfield he would go and tackle them. He thought of it like football :) He learned quickly that you don't tackle in baseball.
He also enjoyed playing in the dirt while in the outfield. While he was in the dugout he would climb the fence. He's a busy, fun little boy!
During the last few games his coach would pitch the ball to the kids instead of having them hit it off of the T. He loved it and did a great job!
He loved getting a ticket after the game to go pick out a treat at the snack bar. His favorite things to get were: hot dogs, laffy taffy, ring pops, chips, and drinks!
We can't wait until next spring to start T-ball again!!

{G-O-L-F-I-N-G}

Brody loves GOLF (to say the least)! I have been taking him out golfing lately (thanks to the nice weather!) We don't go to the park on a nice day, we go to the golf course. Whenever the sun comes up he looks out the window and says "suns out!!! let's go golfing". Monday we went to the putting green at the golf course. You should have seen the looks I got. They weren't rude at all, but I think all of the other golfers were just a little bit shocked! Imagine seeing me walk onto a golf course, pushing a stroller with a 3 year old walking beside me. I'm sure it was pretty funny, but hey! Brody loves it! It looks like we'll be spending our sunny days on the putting green! I love watching him play! He amazes me! Today we spent the afternoon in the backyard!

These are some of his golf moves. He watches Phil Mickelson all the time (thank goodness for DVR!!) and golfs along with him. He crouches down to look at his ball and holds his club up- it's so darn cute! When I told him it was time to come in he threw his club (happily) and said "that's what Phil does". I'm going to have to chat with Phil about that one!

Brody's FIRST T-ball game (4/18/2010)

Brody had a blast at his first T-ball game last Saturday! There are 12 kids on his team and each kid got to hit the ball twice during the game. He is the only three year old on his team. He did so well at his game! By the end he was playing in the dirt at each base. The kids each got 2 tickets to go get the treats they wanted from the snack bar, he also got a free hot dog! It was the perfect t-ball day! nice and warm! We're keeping him busy with all of these sports and he couldn't be happier! He is number 3! His fan club consisted of Mom, Dad, Nana, Grandpa, Grandma, Grandpa, Gavin, Uncle Evan, Kaitlin, Aunt Nat Nat, McCoy! He loves to have people watch him!

Brody's FIRST soccer game! (4/13/2010)

Brody had a blast at his first soccer game! There are six kids on his team and he has two awesome coaches! He is the youngest on his team-he's the only 3 year old, everyone else is 4 or 5. He is doing well! He's never played on a team before so he's getting use to playing a sport with other kids. Throughout the game he kept looking over at us and giving us thumbs up!! He would also stop and smile for my camera. He's so cute and so much fun to watch! He gets a little distracted (he gets that from his mommy) and everyone had to yell his name to get his attention. haha! By the end of the game, everyone knew Brody. He is number 4. This game was freezing, so when it was his turn to sit out he bundled up in the blanket! We all took a nice warm bath when we got home!

He looks disappointed? Maybe because his turn was over to kick during practice :) He LOVES soccer!

Good job Brody!!
