Bobby, Brody, and I went to Las Vegas this weekend to visit my parents! We had a blast- but there sure was a lot that went on...
Thursday night we flew down to Vegas with my sister DeeDee and her husband and baby boy. We got to Vegas at about 10:00 P.M. and soon after the rest of the family arrived.
Friday, we hung out around the house, and went to the Forum shops at Caesar's Palace... boy was that fun!! We saw Baseball player Pete Rose signing autographs at a sports store and then about half hour later we saw Cameron Diaz! NO KIDDING!! I was totally starstruck! Bobby saw her walk by us and he started hitting my back saying... "there's there's... ah what's her name... she dated Justin Timberlake" I thought it looked like her, but I barely saw the side of her face, so Bobby, I, and our Brother in law, Eric, ran after her. (OK, we didn't RUN after her, but we were definitely walking fast!) *Hopefully she doesn't read this and realize I was the one chasing her!* She was walking pretty fast too. We followed her for about 5 minutes and then Travis caught up with us. I didn't have my camera with me, because I had just taken off (The rest of the family was by the stroller and my mom had Brody!) She went around to the opposite side and got on an escalator going up to the 3rd floor. We all just watched... yes, we felt like stalkers, but I prefer to say we felt like paparazzi without our cameras!! So, my brother Travis decided he was going to chase her down again to get a picture with her on his phone. So, he, Eric, and Tom went after her. Bobby and I watched them and then decided we would go too. (You'll have to see the pictures to understand this next part) Bobby and I got on the escalator up and looked down to see Cameron beneath us. My brothers were across from us going down, but they were one escalator behind Cameron- WOW! I hope this makes sense. When Bobby and I made it up to the top floor, we decided to try a quicker way down, so we jumped!! JK We took the elevator. While we were waiting, Bobby said, "this is taking a long time for the elevator to come." and I said, "Well, it seems like forever when you're chasing someone!" We ended up losing track of Cameron, but it sure was fun while it lasted! She's my absolute favorite actress!! (I like Reese too) She was just in white jeans and a white tank top. Very casual and seemed super nice! :) She wasn't as tall as I had expected though! So, after the chase, my sisters and I needed to feed the babies, so we went to find a place in the bathroom to sit. We ended up going into the family restroom, but someone was in there when we went to open it, so my mom knocked. We waited just a couple of minutes, and then a couple came out (in their 40's) with a glass of beer in their hands and they were smiling like what they had just done was funny. Oh boy was I disgusted! They totally had sex in a family restroom!! (If that's not the dirtiest place, I don't know what is.. but that's Vegas for ya!) We ended up sitting in our strollers and Dayna was on the counter top with paper towels underneath her. It was hilarious, but we didn't want to touch anything in there! After our eventful day at Caesar's, we went home and got in the hot tub. The boys all jumped in the pool. They do that every time we go down there- don't ask me why, but guys must get some kind of rush jumping in a freezing pool in the winter. (They've done it when it was colder). Saturday, my mom and Step- dad were sealed in the Temple. It was so amazing! I am extremely happy for them!! We had a very nice day at the temple, and then went to Lunch afterwards. So good!! Saturday night we went to the church for a Halloween Party- Bobby, Brody, and I were Pirates- arghh... It was fun! Sunday, we just went to church, had dinner, packed, and went back to the airport. It was so nice to fly down there! I hate driving places. When we got in the car, we had to go pay for the overnight parking, so, Bobby rolled down his window and paid, then tried to roll it back up. It wouldn't. He tried the whole way home, but it never came back up. We had taken it in to get fixed only 3 weeks ago, and now it's broken again- Note: we took it to Burt Brothers Tires- they're on my Not Recommended list on the right side of the page- we hate them! Anyway, we drove home at 11:30 at night with the window down- freezing our butts off! Brody was fine, and slept, but I had to keep his blanket pulled up on his cheeks- poor little guy. To top off my post, we got something to eat at home, and Bobby had taken out the big jug of pace salsa
(The big one from Costco) While I was putting it in the fridge, I think I got distracted (imagine that) and let go of it before it was actually on the shelf. It broke and salsa went EVERYWHERE. I spent about half an hour cleaning it up- we didn't get to bed until 1 am. But it sure was a fun vacation!! Here are some pictures of our weekend.
